Author of nationally distributed construction industry publications Rental Rate Blue Book, Truck & Trailer value Guide, Cost Reference Guide, and The Equipment Guide News, -- Bob Middleton was born in Memphis, Tennessee in 1927. b.jpg He attended Central High School before joining the U.S. Air Force Flight Cadet program in October 1944; -- and served in the South Pacific as Line-Chief, Flight-Chief of the 75th Fighter Squadron, 23rd Fighter Group, on Guam, MI. 

He holds a BS Degree in Business Administration from the University of Denver, with minors in Industrial Engineering and Air Transportation; -- and received additional training in Stationary Engineering.


His vocational career includes: . . . 
Method Studies Engineer on the B-52 Bomber preflight-production program for Boeing Aircraft Company in Seattle; -- Station Manager for Panagra Airlines in Peru, Bolivia, and Colombia; -- Chief Process Equipment Inspector for Swinerton & Walberg Construction Company at Rocky Flats, Colorado; -- Mechanical Engineer for Utah Construction & Mining Company in Denver, Colorado; -- Materials Engineer, and then Purchasing Agent for Utah C&MC in Toquepala and Lima, Peru; -- Equipment Management Specialist for Utah Construction & Mining Company in San Francisco, California; -- Director of Research,  and Executive Vice-President of Equipment Guide-Book Company in Palo alto, California; -- President of Micro Grade Laser Systems in Mountain View, California; -- Corporate Vice- President of Dataquest Incorporated, -- a Dun & Bradstreet Company, -- in San Jose, California.

Now retired, -- Bob resides in Cupertino, California with his wife of 58 years, Mary Louise  (Parks).  They have five children and eleven grand children.

Mary Louise (Lou) Middleton attended The University of Colorado, and was a renowned San Francisco Bay Area Interior Design Consultant and Teacher for twenty-five years before retiring.

Having traveled the world extensively before and after retirement, they now devote most of their time to their children and grandchildren, and to writing their Memoirs
